Tuna-Stuffed Eggs

A simple, fresh and flavourful classic. Hard-boiled eggs filled with tuna, egg yolk and mayonnaise, perfect as a starter or for a summer meal.
Ingredients — Serves 4
6 eggs
2 tins of tuna
3 tablespoons mayonnaise
2 tablespoons tomato sauce
Salt to taste
Sweet paprika or parsley to garnish (optional)
Method
Boil the eggs for approximately 10 minutes once the water starts boiling.
Cool them in cold water, peel and cut them in half.
Carefully remove the yolks and set aside a small amount for garnishing.
Mix the remaining yolks with the well-drained tuna, mayonnaise and tomato sauce.
Mash the mixture with a fork until creamy but still slightly textured.
Generously fill the egg white halves with the mixture.
Finish with a little grated egg yolk, parsley or a pinch of paprika.
Refrigerate until ready to serve.
💡 Tip
For an especially moist and flavourful filling, avoid over-mashing the mixture. A slightly chunky texture allows the tuna to stand out and gives the dish a more homemade feel.
